Inside Line Promotions – ALVIN, Texas (June 15, 2021) – Trey Burke reaches the midpoint of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship schedule this weekend when he tackles the longest track of the season.

The Joe Dooling Autosports pilot heads to Road America, which is a 4.014-mile, 14-turn road course located in Elkhart Lake, Wis. Qualifying for Rounds 9 and 10 will be on Friday with a race on Saturday and one on Sunday.

“I’m way more comfortable in the car and can make a few more suggestions with what is going on and how I feel,” Burke said comparing himself to when he started his rookie season. “That is huge. The more I understand the car the more I can relay that to the guys in the crew. In dirt racing you have four corners and everyone can watch it all. Here the tracks are so big you have my input and the video so the more input I can give the better it will be.”

Burke will also have a driver coach this weekend for the first time. IndyCar driver Sage Karam, who is the 2015 Indy Lights champion and an eight-time starter in the Indy 500, has joined the team for this weekend.

“We’ve been lucky enough to get Sage Karam, who is an IndyCar driver, to driver coach for us this weekend,” Burke said. “He is someone to look at data, spot for me, be at different points around the track watching where some people are compared to me. He’ll go over video to give me advice.

“All the good teams have engineers, crew chiefs, driver coaches. If we can slowly keep putting that together I’ll be happy. We knew what we were getting into and that this would be a learning process. We didn’t think we would be able to fly through this. We are taking this year to learn and that’s what we’ll continue to do.”
